Students who wish to increase their GCSE Mathematics Grade to 4 or 5 will attend weekly timetabled lessons where they will follow the current GCSE Foundation Mathematics curriculum.

Assessment is by examination:

There are a total of three papers, which are 1 hour 30 mins each. Paper 1 is a non-calculator paper and papers 2 and 3 are calculator papers.

Students will study the current foundation level Mathematics curriculum including work on number, ratio and proportion, handling data, algebra and shape and space.

 

Entry Requirements

This course is for students who have not yet attained Grade 4 GCSE in Mathematics.

Further Information

This is a compulsory course for students who have not achieved the required grade in GCSE Mathematics.
